Rooted in jazz and its diverse offshoots, we celebrate music that is authentic, expressive, and culturally rich — including blues, soul, neo-soul, house, jazz fusion, Latin jazz, and roots music.

Founded by Rodney Gipson, Audible Edge Music Group reflects decades of experience as a musician, producer, recording engineer, educator, and creative entrepreneur.

With roots in both music and technology, Rodney brings a unique perspective that blends artistic vision, technical knowledge, and community-centered thinking into the foundation of the label.

Our Story

Audible Edge Music Group was founded from a lifelong love of jazz, creativity, and independent artistry.

After decades spent performing, recording, producing, and working within creative and technical industries, founder Rodney Gipson envisioned a label that would combine artistic authenticity with a modern, artist-centered approach to music and community.

Inspired by Chicago’s rich musical legacy and spirit of innovation, Audible Edge was created to provide artists with opportunities to grow while remaining true to their voice and vision.

What began as a passion for music has evolved into a growing platform for collaboration, live experiences, artist development, and creative storytelling.
